FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, September 11, 2026: The Settlement Group, Inc. (SGI), a nationally licensed life settlement provider with more than two decades of industry experience, announced today that it has been granted a life settlement provider license by the State of Utah. The addition brings SGI’s licensing footprint to 39 states and jurisdictions, placing it among the most widely licensed life settlement providers in the country.
Utah represents an important market for life settlements, with a comparatively small number of companies currently licensed to operate there. SGI’s entry gives Utah policy owners, their financial advisors, and estate planning professionals direct access to a provider with a long track record of regulatory compliance and transaction experience across dozens of states.
The license allows SGI to work directly with eligible Utah policy owners exploring the sale of a life insurance policy through a life settlement transaction, a lump-sum alternative to lapsing or surrendering coverage that’s no longer wanted, needed, or affordable to maintain.
